Day 1 December 29

Arrive Havana. Meet your Journey Guide at La Habana’s Jose Marti airport. Then, sit back in your chauffeured vintage convertible and embark on an Instagram-worthy tour of the city: Plaza de la Revolución (Revolution Plaza), Colon Cemetery, El Bosque de la Habana (botanical gardens), 5ta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) and the famous seawall, El Malecon.

Then enjoy lunch at La Guarida paladar (a paladar is a restaurant Not owned by the communist Cuban government). La Guarida is famous for not only being one of the oldest paladares in La Habana, having been featured in the Academy Award nominated foreign film “Fresa y Chocolate”, but it also hosted President Obama and his family.

Subsequently, enjoy a Salsa dance lesson or visit the Museo de Arte Cubano, Cuba’s Museum of Modern Art.

Tonight we will have dinner at Antojos, one of La Habana’s hippest paladars. Lastly, we will go dancing at La Casa de la Música.

Day 2 December 30

After breakfast we will take a walking tour of La Habana and learn the history of this 504-year-old city with our Havana expert, Alejandro.

Afterwards, we will go shopping in Old La Habana at the San Jose Artisanal market. Here, hundreds of artists sell their hand-crafted goods.

Following, we will have lunch at Al Carbon a restaurant owned by Fidel Castro’s former chef.

Then, we will finish the day with a refreshing visit to the beach, Playa Santa Maria del Mar.

Tonight, we will enjoy dinner at El Cocinero (“The Cook”). This paladar’s loft-like dining room and rooftop terrace sit in what used to be a cooking oil factory. It’s the pinnacle of the trendy Vedado neighborhood. After climbing the spiral iron staircase you’re guaranteed slick service, contemporary artworks and refined dishes.

After dinner we will visit the famous Tropicana Outdoor cabaret for a stunning performance of Cuban Music and dancing. Known as one of the hottest cabaret shows in the world, the Tropicana Nightclub show is a world-famous spectacle set in a lush, tropical open-air venue that bursts with colorful lights, glitter, and glam. It’s a must-do activity during any trip to La Habana, Cuba.

Day 3 December 31

This morning we will drive to the Cuban countryside and visit Valle de Viñales (Viñales valley), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its outstanding landscape, tobacco and agriculture. Enjoy horseback riding (optional), visit a tobacco farm and learn about the growing and harvesting process and have the opportunity to smoke a cigar with a tobacco farmer, visit a tobacco sorting center operated solely by women followed by lunch on an organic farm.

Then, we will return to La Habana.

Tonight we will take pleasure in a multi-course New Year’s Eve dinner at Tierra, a paladar built out of shipping containers and serving South American-Cuban fusion fare. Finally, we will welcome the New Year downstairs from the restaurant at La Fabrica de Arte Cubano. Featured in the New York Times and listed by Time Magazine as one of the World’s 100 Greatest places to visit. This eccentric hotspot hosts one of the island’s most striking exhibitions of contemporary and performance art in Cuba, it is also a coffee shop, has 6 bars, a movie theater and a dance club.

Day 4 January 1

After breakfast we will check out of your accommodations and depart for the airport for your flight home.
